Speedster Showdown Horror Roster Guide

Creepypasta kits with mild-fear presentation: burn, hunger, GOD, and Lord X.

Last updated:

The horror roster in Speedster Showdown is Furnace, Starved, Sonic.EXE, and Lord X, plus the exclusive 2017 X slot. These kits borrow creepypasta and EXE silhouettes at a high level: a furnace-bodied hunter, a hungry doctor, a possessed hedgehog, and a classic-shaped entity who wants a longer game. The Roblox maturity label on the experience is mild fear and mild violence. This page stays in that range. It does not retell full ARG documents and it does not try to shock you in text.

Speedster Showdown is an online PvP battlegrounds released on 26 July 2025. Horror kits still fight on the same maps as Sonic. They are not a separate campaign. If the presentation is too much, mute, pick heroes, and leave Starved Lair in the map vote. Sibling pages: Sonic line and villains. Rank context: PvP tier list and awakening tier list.

Maturity, presentation, and what this page will not do

Mild fear here means red lighting, chase stingers, grab cinematics, and hunger flavor. It does not mean the wiki will describe gore beat by beat. Starved’s bite heals him. Furnace burns. Sonic.EXE and Lord X chase. That is enough to pick a kit. If a video essay wants to go deeper into creepypasta origins, that is a different tab. This page is for buttons, bars, and which letter the September 2026 snapshot gave each portrait.

Furnace — OVERHEAT

Furnace is a metal hunter built as a meal-fetcher in the Starved lore at a high level: a robot with a chest hatch and a job. Base tools lean on a flame beam with burn, a drag grab, a kick-into-dash called PREY, and a claw string. The awakening is OVERHEAT, a shutdown-then-reignite that turns the hatch white-hot and swaps in oven grabs, nitro aura, and rampage cinematics.

Community snapshot does not park Furnace in S. He is a horror kit with a finished ult and a lot of cutscene buttons. Play him if you like burn and grabs. Skip him if you hate watching a cinematic while the rest of the server rotates. A Stardust Speedway domain variant existed and was later removed; do not lab that teleport as if it still decides rounds.

Starved — Insatiable Hunger and Starved Lair

Starved is the hungry doctor silhouette. Base tools include a bite that returns health (HUNGER), an Eggmobile call, a snack heal, and a beating grab. The awakening is Insatiable Hunger. It is not a free transform in place. You have to activate it close enough to grab someone, then the pair can be sent into a locked hall — Starved Lair — with a knife kit, extra bodies possible, and the round inside that space ending when someone dies.

Community snapshot: S, with an infinite-combo reputation. That reputation is why people dodge the map and why beginner lists do not hand Starved to new players. The S letter is “this kit loops if you let it,” not “press one button to win.” If you cannot land the bite or the awakening grab, you are a doctor with no meal and a C-tier health bar.

Starved Lair is an exclusive map tied to this kit family. Treat it as part of the character, not as a random stage. Vote with that in mind. If you hate the presentation, vote something else and pick Blaze.

Sonic.EXE — GOD

Sonic.EXE is the possessed hedgehog portrait: darker fur, wrong eyes, the mild-fear version of a classic creepypasta mashup. The awakening is GOD. Community snapshot: A for the GOD ult. He is not Sonic and he is not Knight of the Wind. If you main him because the model looks like Sonic, you will press the wrong confirms.

Play EXE when you want a horror hedgehog with a named god-form dump. Lab him after you already know Sonic’s real buttons so you do not confuse the two dash timings. The A letter is about GOD, not about the thumbnail.

Lord X — ult and mastery path

Lord X is the classic-shaped entity: shorter, greyer, a chase kit with a counter and a skeletal-hand grab. The awakening ult is the Lord X dump (the MY WORLD-style transform in-game). A mastery path exists for players who grind kills, swapping the ult into a servant call. Community snapshot: B. He is scary in a trailer and merely solid in a letter list, which is the healthiest place for a horror kit that relies on chase plus counter.

Too Slow is a counter. Hide-and-seek is a chase. If you mash both on cooldown, a Metal Sonic Lock-On will clip you out of the bit. Play Lord X like Mephiles: spend invuln and counters on purpose.

2017 X and other exclusive slots

2017 X is exclusive, not a public-ladder default. Goku is exclusive. Emde Dev is a developer kit. The horror page mentions 2017 X so you do not confuse him with Sonic.EXE or Lord X in a thumbnail. Unranked for public-meta talk. If you do not own the slot, skip the section.

Horror letters, September 2026

Community snapshot, not official, patches change this:

  • S: Starved (infinite-combo reputation, Insatiable Hunger plus Lair)
  • A: Sonic.EXE GOD
  • B: Lord X
  • Unranked: 2017 X exclusive, Goku exclusive

Furnace is a finished horror ult that did not grab an S in this snapshot. That can change. A burn buff or a grab nerf will move him without a new portrait.

How horror kits lose to ordinary buttons

Block still exists. Parry still exists. A Starved bite that you ragdoll-cancel is not a win. A Furnace PREY dash that you parry is a free punish. GOD and Lord X ults still have to hit. The mild-fear presentation is there to sell the round, not to delete the moveset rules. If you are losing to horror kits, lab the punish on villains copy tools and on Sonic dash-outs before you swap to a horror main as a revenge pick.

Maps other than Starved Lair still matter. Green Hill Zone gives chase kits a long lane. Marble Zone gives grabs a wall. HILL makes red lighting harder to read. If you keep losing on HILL, it may be visibility, not the letter on the list.

Play Furnace for one session until OVERHEAT is a burn plan, play Lord X for one session until the counter is a punish, and only then touch Starved if you can stand the Lair presentation. That order keeps the mild-fear label honest: you opted in, you can opt out, and you still have heroes if the hatch and the knife are not for you. When you want letters instead of lore, close this page and use the PvP tier list snapshot rather than a creepypasta ranking.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How scary is the horror roster?

The experience is labeled mild fear. Expect chase audio, red lighting, and grab cinematics. This page stays high-level on creepypasta origins. Mute or pick a hero kit if that presentation is not for you.

What is Starved Lair?

Starved Lair is the locked hall tied to Insatiable Hunger. The awakening grab can send fighters there. The space is part of Starved’s kit identity, not a random extra stage you should ignore in the map vote.

Is Sonic.EXE the same as Sonic or Knight of the Wind?

No. Sonic.EXE is a horror kit with the GOD awakening. Sonic and Knight of the Wind are on the Sonic line page. 2017 X is a separate exclusive slot.

Why is Starved in S while Lord X is in B?

The September 2026 community snapshot gives Starved an infinite-combo reputation and a domain-style awakening. Lord X is a solid chase-and-counter kit. Letters are community opinions and will move with patches.

Should I buy horror kits first?

Not as a first main. Learn dash and block on Sonic, Knuckles, or Amy, then opt into horror if the mild-fear label is fine. Exclusive 2017 X is not required for public-server play.
