Speedster Showdown Shadow, Metal, and Eggman
Chaos, copy tools, Death Egg Robot, Infinite’s base kit, and Mephiles’ shadow puddle.
The villain row in Speedster Showdown is Shadow, Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Infinite, Eggman, Mephiles, and the 2026 Shadow-line kit Doom Shadow. Dedicated follow-ups: Infinite guide and Doom Shadow guide. These kits share a public-server job: they punish people who only labbed Sonic. They are not horror portraits and they are not the hero support cast. They are the doctor’s machines, the ultimate lifeform, the jackal with a Phantom Ruby reputation, and the crystalline shadow who still quotes 2006.
Speedster Showdown released on Roblox on 26 July 2025 as an online PvP battlegrounds. Villain kits still fight other players one stock at a time. If you want hedgehog dash, read Sonic and Knight of the Wind. If you want drills and hammers, read heroes. If you want EXE and Starved, read the horror roster. Combo routing that is not kit-specific lives on the combo guide.
Shadow — Inhibitor Release and the Chaos Blast hold
Shadow is the rival hedgehog with Chaos tools. The awakening is Inhibitor Release. Community showcase comments in the September 2026 snapshot still call base Shadow strong, then add that the ult felt weaker after a rework. Play him for the base kit first. Do not pick him only to cinematic Super Chaos Control.
The fourth-move rework is the lab note that matters this season: hold charge for Chaos Blast. Older descriptions talked about a Chaos Combination counter that flipped into Chaos Boost variants. If a video still tells you to tap the fourth button as a short counter and then ignore charge, it is describing the pre-rework button. Hold the charge, learn the blast window, then decide whether Inhibitor Release is even the part of the kit you wanted.
A-tier in the community snapshot, with the ult listed as weaker after the rework. That split — strong base, softer ult — is why Shadow sits on this page next to Metal Sonic instead of on the Sonic-line page. He is a villain kit with a hedgehog silhouette. Doom Shadow is a later 2026 Shadow-line slot, not this Inhibitor Release kit. Lab it on the Doom Shadow guide instead of copying Chaos Blast holds onto a new portrait.
Metal Sonic — Neo Metal Sonic
Metal Sonic is the high skill-ceiling robot. Community snapshot: S, because of that ceiling, not because the kit is free. Base numbers you should memorize:
- Metallic Rush — 20 damage, 20-second cooldown, blockable dash pummel.
- Lock-On — 25 damage, 15-second cooldown, unblockable, parriable energy sphere.
- All-Seeing Observation — 0 damage, 5-second cooldown, copies a base move (some moves excluded) and takes that move’s cooldown.
Neo Metal Sonic is the awakening. A Phantom Ruby portal forms behind him, he enters it, and he evolves. After the sequence he announces the kneel line. The Neo kit then plays a Prime set and a two-stage Super Neo dump. Copy in base is the identity. If you cannot track which copied move you are holding, you will spend Observation on junk and the S letter will feel like a lie.
Lab Metal after you can already parry Lock-On on defense. The kit is a mirror exam. People who mash into Metallic Rush donate the round.
Mecha Sonic — Early Access, no awakening
Mecha Sonic is Early Access. He has no awakening yet. If you press the bar, current Early Access behavior is a heal-to-full plus a damage bump on the existing buttons, not a new cinematic kit. Unranked / WIP on the community snapshot. Do not write him into an ult tier. Do not treat him as Neo Metal’s twin just because both are robots.
Infinite — base kit, no awakening
Infinite received a base kit in the Knight of the Wind era update and still has no awakening. Community snapshot: S for the base kit, with a homing unblockable starter and 180-damage combo reports. Those are reports, not a patch table. The S letter is “this base kit already kills,” not “the ult is done.” The dedicated Infinite guide is the lab page for Early Access caveats, the Speedsters Infinite name collision, and why this wiki will not copy Sandbox maze unlocks.
Play Infinite if you accept an unfinished bar. Skip him if you need a transformation to feel like a round ended. The homing starter is why beginner lists mark him execution-heavy even when the damage looks like Knight of the Wind.
Eggman — Death Egg Robot and Big Arms
Eggman is the doctor. Base tools include a laser, item-box shields, a laugh radius, and a Metal Sonic summon on a long cooldown. The older awakening is Death Egg Robot: jump, drill, stomp, and arm shots from a giant frame. Community snapshot: C, because that ult felt incomplete. In 2026 the official Speedster Showdown channel posted Big Arms as a new awakening and called it broken. Exact unpublished damage numbers are not on this page. Read the Doom and Big Arms update and confirm the live selector. Big Arms may move the C letter; re-lab instead of quoting C as law.
Play Eggman for summons and a big body, not for a Death Egg dump you saw in a 2025 clip. If a thumbnail says the Death Egg is a complete Super equivalent, it is selling the robot, not the patch.
Mephiles — The Twisted Reflection
Mephiles is the 2006 shadow. Base tools to memorize:
- Shade Dive — 22 damage, 20-second cooldown, five seconds of invulnerable puddle that ticks nearby players, then a re-emerge ragdoll. Blockable until the last hit.
- Clutching Shadows — 26 damage, 30-second cooldown, unblockable, parriable grab-and-throw.
- Dark Stab — the 2006 reference, a counter-cinematic that blinds with an emerald and stabs from behind.
The awakening is The Twisted Reflection, and Mephiles is the character with unique awakening accessories when that gamepass is on: the grey-blue Shadow gloves turn into crystals. Community snapshot: B. Execution-heavy on beginner lists because the puddle is a resource, not a panic button. Dive to dodge a dump, then grab. If you dive on cooldown in the open, a Metal Sonic copy will take the rest of your health.
Villain letters, September 2026
Community snapshot, not official, patches change this:
- S: Metal Sonic (ceiling), Infinite base (starter plus 180-damage reports)
- A: Shadow (strong comments, ult weaker after rework)
- B: Mephiles
- C: Eggman (Death Egg felt incomplete; Big Arms is 2026 official-short work — re-lab)
- Unranked: Mecha Sonic (no ult)
- Separate 2026 lab: Doom Shadow on the Doom Shadow guide, not a copy of Shadow’s A letter
Use the combo guide when you have a starter and need a confirm that is not a cutscene. Use the awakening tier list when you are comparing Inhibitor Release to Neo Metal and Death Egg Robot.
Lab order that does not waste a week
Day one: Shadow hold-charge Chaos Blast until you stop tapping it like the old counter. Day two: Metal Sonic Observation copies on a dummy until you can name the stolen move. Day three: Mephiles Shade Dive as a dodge, not as a travel tool. Park Eggman and Mecha until you can already punish a robot. Infinite can wait until you have seen the homing starter on defense, because eating that starter ten times teaches more than maining the kit cold — then open the Infinite guide. Doom Shadow is a second hedgehog notebook after Chaos Blast, not day one; use the Doom Shadow guide.
Sibling pages exist so you do not mix jobs. Heroes are drills and hammers. Horror is hunger and chase. This page is Chaos, copy, and unfinished bars. When you can parry Lock-On, hold Chaos Blast, and leave a Shade Dive on purpose, you are done with the villain intro. Everything after that is routing on the combo guide, not another portrait on the select screen.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How does Shadow’s fourth move work after the rework?
Hold charge for Chaos Blast. Older guides described a tap counter into Chaos Boost. Lab the hold in training before you spend Inhibitor Release in public matches.
What does Metal Sonic copy?
All-Seeing Observation copies a base move (some excluded) at 0 damage and a 5-second cooldown, then takes the copied move’s cooldown. Metallic Rush is 20/20s and blockable. Lock-On is 25/15s, unblockable, parriable.
Do Mecha Sonic and Infinite have awakenings?
Not yet. Mecha Sonic is Early Access with no ult. Infinite’s base kit arrived in the Knight of the Wind era and also has no ult. Early Access bar presses heal and buff existing moves instead of transforming. Lab notes: Infinite guide.
Is Eggman’s Death Egg Robot finished?
Death Egg Robot exists as an awakening, and the community still treated that ult as incomplete. Official 2026 shorts present Big Arms as a new awakening. Exact unpublished numbers are not listed here. Read Doom and Big Arms and confirm the live selector.
Why is Mephiles listed as execution-heavy?
Shade Dive’s five-second invuln puddle and Clutching Shadows’ grab both require timing. Dark Stab is a 2006-style counter, not a mash. Beginner lists prefer Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy until you can spend that puddle on purpose.
