Speedster Showdown Controls Cheatsheet
Official Roblox binds in table form, plus hold charges, recasts, awakening timing, and mobile thumbs.
This cheatsheet is the short version of Speedster Showdown’s inputs. The live Roblox description still prints the combat core: F blocks, Q dashes, Q+W boosts, right click is forward attack or boost, left click punches, and hold space plus left click uppercuts. Everything else on this page is how those verbs actually get used in a 25-player PvP lobby after the 26 July 2025 revival. It is a screenshot page, not a substitute for the full Controls writeup or the route sheets on Combos.
Print it, pin it, or flip to it on a phone. Then go into a private server and touch every row once. A bind you have not pressed since Sonic Showdown in 2024 is a bind you will drop in a KOTW confirm.
PC movement and camera
Roblox still owns the locomotion layer. The experience description does not reprint WASD because every PC lobby already uses it.
| Action | PC bind | Cheatsheet note |
|---|---|---|
| Move | WASD | Standard Roblox. Strafe during block; do not hold W into every homing starter. |
| Jump | Space | Tap for hop. Hold with left click for the uppercut listed below. |
| Camera | Mouse | Keep the horizon readable on wide hills. Vertical maps punish a locked-down camera. |
| Shift lock | Check Settings | If the client exposes a lock toggle, use it for side dashes. Do not invent a key if your settings menu does not show one. |
If a clip shows a player moonwalking around a grab, that is camera plus dash, not a hidden bind.
Official combat binds
These rows match the Speedster Showdown Roblox page. If a YouTube overlay disagrees, trust the page, then confirm in your current client.
| Action | PC bind | Cheatsheet note |
|---|---|---|
| Punch (M1) | Left click | String starter. Most kits want two or three M1s before a skill, not a panic 4. |
| Forward attack / boost (M2) | Right click | Same family as Q+W. Use it to close, to chase a ragdoll, or to extend after uppercut. |
| Boost / forward attack | Q+W | Alternate M2. Useful when your right mouse is on camera duty. |
| Dash | Q | Neutral dash, mix dash, and panic dash are the same key. Direction plus Q is the whole tech. |
| Block | F | Hold against blockable strings. Release when the lobby says a starter is unblockable — Infinite’s homing confirm is the KOTW-era example. |
| Uppercut | Hold Space + Left click | Combo glue. After a launcher, look for boost or a skill, not another raw M1 into the floor. |
Write those six on a sticky note if you are coming from a title that dashes on Q and blocks on R, or the reverse. Muscle memory from other battlegrounds games is how people eat Starved confirms.
Skill slots, holds, and recasts
The Roblox description does not list 1 through 4 because they are on the HUD. Treat the four skill boxes as the rest of your kit.
| Action | Typical PC input | Cheatsheet note |
|---|---|---|
| Skill 1 | 1 | Often a starter or projectile. Do not waste it as a poke if it is your only anti-air. |
| Skill 2 | 2 | Some kits recast this slot. Showcase comments after KOTW mention pressing 2 again for a variation. If a dummy does not eat the recast, you tapped too late. |
| Skill 3 | 3 | Frequently a mobility or lock tool. Check whether it is blockable before you throw it at a patient F hold. |
| Skill 4 | 4 | Hold-charge territory after the Shadow rework: tap is mostly animation, hold is Chaos Blast. If a new title tag adds Doom or Big Arms, assume holds exist until the dummy says no. |
| Clash / counter | Kit dependent | Some fighters have a dedicated counter inside 1-4. Lab it on a dummy that actually attacks. |
Rules that belong next to the table:
- If the animation looks like a charge, hold it. Shadow is the documented case. Other kits may join that rule later; we will not invent their names here.
- If a clip says press it again, that is a recast, not a new bind.
- Unblockable and unparryable flags live on the move, not on the key. The cheatsheet cannot mark every flag. Combos is where true strings go once they are labbed.
Awakening reminder
Awakening is a resource, not a fifth skill you mash because the bar is pretty.
| Step | What to do | Why it fails in public PvP |
|---|---|---|
| Build the bar | Deal damage. Switching characters dumps progress. | Farming a dummy in a public server just paints a target on you. |
| Watch the HUD | When the bar fills, the prompt tells you the awaken control. | Do not guess G from another game if you rebound it. Read the prompt. |
| Pick a window | Awaken after a knockdown or at round start of a stock, not during your own endlag. | KOTW and Infinite 180-damage reports punish awaken animations that sit still. |
| Know your kit | Finished characters get a new moveset and a cutscene. Early Access unfinished characters (Mecha Sonic, Infinite’s missing ult era) may only heal and buff base moves. | Awakening Mecha expecting a new super is how you waste the bar. |
| Exit plan | Super time is limited. Spend the extra damage, then be ready to play base again. | Players who only lab awakening drop every stock that starts in base. |
Private servers with PS+ can fill or freeze the bar for lab. That is a legal gamepass feature, not a reason to download a GUI. Public matches still require you to earn the bar.
Mobile notes
Touch lobbies use the same verbs with worse thumbs.
| Verb | Mobile habit | Common miss |
|---|---|---|
| Move | Left analog | Drifting into a grab because the stick never recenters. |
| Punch | Attack button | Accidental M1 during a dash. |
| Boost / M2 | Separate attack button if the UI shows one | Using punch when you needed the forward attack. |
| Dash | Dash button | Covering it with the analog thumb. Move the HUD if the client allows. |
| Block | Block button | Tapping instead of holding. Unblockables still ignore a perfect hold. |
| Uppercut | Jump plus punch | Releasing jump too early and getting a normal M1. |
| Skills | Four HUD slots | Fat-fingering 4 when you wanted 3. |
| Awaken | The bar itself | Mashing the bar in your own endlag. |
Mobile-specific advice that is not a new bind:
- Play on Wi-Fi. Cellular hitch is how a blockable string becomes a true combo on your screen only.
- Lower graphics until the analog is readable. A pretty Green Hill is not worth a dropped dash.
- Lab uppercut and Q-equivalent dash for ten minutes before you queue. Those two inputs are the ones touch players lose first.
- If you use a Bluetooth keyboard on a tablet, this cheatsheet’s PC table applies. Confirm the client actually accepts the keys before a ranked-feeling set.
One-page lab order
When you have five minutes, press the rows in this order: dash, block, M1 string, uppercut, boost, skill 1, skill 2 recast if any, skill 4 hold if any, awaken prompt. That is the whole game. Controls explains why those verbs win. Combos explains what to insert between them on a specific fighter. This page exists so you do not have to reread either article to remember that boost is Q+W or right click.
Screenshot the official combat table, keep it beside the keyboard for a single session, and put the phone away once uppercut-into-boost happens without a glance. The cheatsheet has done its job when you stop opening it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What are the official PC combat binds?
F block, Q dash, Q+W boost, right click forward attack or boost, left click punch, hold space plus left click uppercut. Those lines are copied from the live Roblox description.
Is boost right click or Q+W?
Both. The description lists Q+W as boost or forward attack and right click as forward attack or boost. Use whichever does not fight your camera.
How do I uppercut?
What is the awakening key?
Follow the HUD prompt when the bar fills. Do not copy another battlegrounds game's G bind if you rebound it. Unfinished Early Access kits may not gain a new moveset.
Does mobile use different verbs?
No. Same punch, dash, block, boost, uppercut, skills, and awaken. The miss is usually analog drift or a covered dash button, not a secret touch-only move.
