Speedster Showdown PvP Tier List Hub
A community snapshot, not a patch note. Letters move when the next update lands.
This hub is the ranking desk for Speedster Showdown, a Roblox PvP battlegrounds released on 26 July 2025. It is not an official developer ladder. It is a community snapshot dated September 2026, built from public-server reports, showcase comments, and the usual argument about whether a 180-damage clip is a combo or a lucky string. Read it as a starting argument, then go fight.
Child pages split the job. The beginner tier list ranks ease. The awakening tier list ranks ults versus base kits. Character details live on the roster hub. Confirm routing that is not a letter lives on the combo guide.
Methodology
Four questions, in this order:
- Kill potential — Can the kit convert a starter into a dead opponent without a miracle? Reports of 180-damage strings on Knight of the Wind and Infinite base count here. Starved’s infinite-combo reputation counts here. A cinematic that never hits does not.
- Bar — Does the awakening actually raise the floor, or is it a weaker ult after a rework, or is it missing? Shadow’s Inhibitor Release being called weaker after the rework is a bar question. Mecha Sonic and Infinite having no ult is a bar question. Eggman’s Death Egg being incomplete with Big Arms teased is a bar question.
- Ease — Can a new player spend the kit without dropping every confirm? Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy score well. Metal Sonic, Mephiles, and Infinite score poorly even when their letters are high. Ease gets its own page so S-tier execution monsters do not get handed to day-one players.
- Map — Green Hill Zone, Marble Zone, Tails Doll Cove, HILL, and Baseplate Spire do not treat grabs, puddles, and dash lanes the same. Starved Lair is part of Starved’s kit, not a neutral stage. A letter that ignores maps is a thumbnail.
We do not rank exclusive kits as if they were public. Goku and 2017 X stay unranked. Emde Dev is a developer slot. We do not invent a fifth mode. This is PvP.
September 2026 community snapshot
S — Knight of the Wind (base 180-damage combo reports), Infinite base (homing unblockable starter, 180-damage reports), Starved (infinite-combo reputation), Metal Sonic (high skill ceiling).
A — Sonic Super, Dark Sonic mastery (one vocal take called Dark A-plus and Knight D; other voices disagree), Shadow (strong in showcase comments; ult weaker after the rework), Sonic.EXE GOD.
B — Knuckles Hyper, Blaze, Mephiles, Lord X.
C — Tails, Amy, Rouge, Silver (community still wants a rework), Eggman (ult incomplete, Big Arms teased).
Unranked / WIP — Mecha Sonic (no ult), Goku exclusive, 2017 X exclusive, Emde Dev.
Always say this out loud: patches change this. Hyper Beatdown used to dump bars. Meteor Smash used to deal 225. Shadow’s fourth move now wants a hold charge for Chaos Blast. A letter that cannot survive those sentences is fan fiction.
How to use the letters without becoming a parrot
If you are new, ignore S until you can block. Use the beginner tier list and pick Sonic, Knuckles, or Amy. If you can already confirm, use this hub’s S and A as a lab queue: Knight of the Wind, then Metal Sonic, then Starved if you accept mild-fear presentation. If you only care about transformations, use the awakening tier list and skip Infinite and Mecha as ult projects.
If a friend swears Dark Sonic is A-plus and Knight of the Wind is D, that take exists. Record it, then look at the 180-damage reports on Knight’s base kit. Both views can be honest if they are talking about different skill floors. The methodology above is how you tell which question they answered.
What the letters are not
They are not a list of who is fun. Tails can be more fun than Infinite and still sit in C. They are not a list of who is cheapest. Early Access and exclusive slots have their own prices and this wiki does not publish a shop. They are not a list of who wins a 1v1 in a vacuum. Map four and bar two will flip a letter in a single patch.
They are also not a reason to skip the roster. A Metal Sonic S means the ceiling is high. It does not teach Metallic Rush, Lock-On, or All-Seeing Observation. An Eggman C means the ult is unfinished. It does not mean the Metal summon never kills. Read the kit page, then come back and argue.
Conflicting takes we are not going to hide
Dark Sonic versus Knight of the Wind is the loudest split. One player’s A-plus / D pair is in the snapshot on purpose. Shadow’s base versus Shadow’s ult is the second split. Showcase comments like the hedgehog; the rework notes like the ult less. Silver’s C is the third split: some players still like the counter, most want a rework after the meteor nerf. If you only wanted a clean S-A-B-C poster, this game will not give you one.
Patch hygiene
When an update drops, re-score in this order: missing ults first (Mecha, Infinite, Eggman Big Arms), then reworked buttons (Shadow charge, Silver meteor, Knuckles bar dump history), then new kits (Knight of the Wind era Infinite base). Do not reshuffle Tails and Amy because a thumbnail said “meta over.” Ease barely moves. Kill potential moves when a starter becomes unblockable or a loop gets patched.
If you clip a 180-damage string, label the kit, the map, and whether a bar was spent. Unlabeled damage is how S-tier rumors escape the lab. The combo guide is the place to write the route. This hub only stores the letter.
Use S as a lab queue, C as a warning, and unranked as a “not done yet” stamp. Then go play ten public matches on one kit before you change a letter in your head. The snapshot is dated September 2026 so you can throw it away the moment a named patch lands — and you should, because Speedster Showdown has already rewritten Sonic’s buttons, Shadow’s fourth move, and Silver’s meteor once.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is this an official Speedster Showdown ranking?
No. It is a community snapshot dated September 2026. Developer patch notes beat this page. Letters will move.
What do you rank on?
Kill potential, bar quality or absence, ease of execution, and map. Ease has its own beginner list. Ults have their own awakening list.
Why are Mecha Sonic and Goku unranked?
Mecha Sonic has no awakening yet. Goku is exclusive. 2017 X is exclusive. Emde Dev is a developer kit. Unranked means “do not pretend this is a finished public-ladder pick.”
Why does Dark Sonic have two stories?
One public take called Dark A-plus and Knight of the Wind D. Other voices put Knight in S with 180-damage base reports. This hub records both instead of deleting the argument.
Where do I go to actually learn a kit?
Open the character roster for playstyles and the combo guide for confirms. A letter without a route is just a poster.
