Tier List

Speedster Showdown Awakening Tier List

Which bars raise the floor, which ults got softer, and which kits still have no transform.

Last updated:

An awakening tier list for Speedster Showdown ranks the bar, not the portrait. Base kits and ults are allowed to disagree. Shadow can be strong in showcase comments and still hold a weaker ult after a rework. Infinite can sit in S on a base-only snapshot and sit nowhere on this page because the transform is N/A. Knight of the Wind is scored in both forms because it is a full Sonic-line character, not a Super skin.

The game is a Roblox PvP battlegrounds released on 26 July 2025. Bars are spent in public fights, not in a shared mission. For letters that mix ease and kill potential, use the PvP tier list. For who is easy, use the beginner list. For buttons, use the roster. This page only asks: if both players have a full bar, whose transform is the round?

Named awakenings

  • Sonic: Super Sonic (default) and Dark Sonic (mastery).
  • Tails: 500 IQ.
  • Knuckles: Hyper Knuckles (Super Emeralds).
  • Shadow: Inhibitor Release.
  • Amy: Rose Radiance.
  • Rouge: G.U.N. AGENT.
  • Blaze: Fire Princess.
  • Metal Sonic: Neo Metal Sonic (Phantom Ruby portal).
  • Eggman: Death Egg Robot, with Big Arms later teased.
  • Silver: Psychic Break (Chaos Emerald absorb similar to Sonic).
  • Mephiles: The Twisted Reflection.
  • Furnace: OVERHEAT.
  • Starved: Insatiable Hunger.
  • Sonic.EXE: GOD.
  • Lord X: dedicated ult (plus a mastery servant path).
  • Knight of the Wind: both base and awakening forms, scored together as a complete kit.
  • Mecha Sonic: N/A.
  • Infinite: N/A.

If a thumbnail ranks Mecha or Infinite as if the ult shipped, close it.

Ult strength versus base

Knight of the Wind is the cleanest “both forms” story on the September 2026 snapshot. Base already has 180-damage combo reports. The awakening forms are part of the same S-tier argument, not a rescue button for a weak kit. Lab both. Do not treat KOTW like Super Sonic glued onto the default hedgehog.

Super Sonic is A. It is a real bar: faster confirms, a dump that ends the form if it lands. It is not the automatic answer to KOTW or Starved. Dark Sonic is the split take: one player called Dark A-plus and Knight D; other voices keep Knight in S. This page records both. Dark replaces Super on the same slot, so you are ranking a mastery path, not a third hedgehog.

Shadow / Inhibitor Release is the warning example. Base Shadow is A in showcase comments. The ult is called weaker after the rework. Hold charge for Chaos Blast is a base-button note, but it affects how people spend the bar: if the fourth move already does the explosion job, Inhibitor Release has to offer something else. Right now the community is not convinced it does.

Metal Sonic / Neo Metal is a ceiling ult. The portal transform is spectacular and the Prime kit is real. It still asks you to be good at Metal in base, because Observation and Lock-On are how you get the bar. S on the mixed list, high on this one only if you can already copy on purpose.

Starved / Insatiable Hunger is a domain ult. You grab someone into Starved Lair. That is more than a damage buff. S if the grab lands. Nothing if you pop it at half screen. Rank the grab window, not the knife cosmetic.

Sonic.EXE / GOD is A on the mixed snapshot and A here: a named dump that actually changes the kit. Lord X ult is B: chase and counter remain the identity, and the transform does not delete that homework. Hyper Knuckles is B: Earthquake Trigger is a honest shockwave, not a second character. Fire Princess is B for the same reason — a better Blaze, not a new game. The Twisted Reflection is B with unique awakening accessories; still execution-heavy.

Psychic Break is a C-tier bar on a C-tier kit. The emerald absorb looks like Sonic’s and the meteor that used to deal 225 is nerfed. Community rework requests apply to the ult as much as the base. 500 IQ, Rose Radiance, and G.U.N. AGENT are finished transforms that do not currently steal rounds from S-tier bars. OVERHEAT is a finished Furnace ult that did not grab S in this snapshot.

Incomplete and missing ults

Eggman / Death Egg Robot exists and is still treated as incomplete. Big Arms is teased, not shipped. C on the mixed list because the robot is a body, not a finished dump. Do not rank Death Egg as if it were Super Sonic with extra HP.

Mecha Sonic has no awakening. Early Access bar behavior is a heal-to-full plus a damage bump on the same buttons. Unranked on this page. Infinite has no awakening. The base kit’s S letter does not migrate here. If you want Infinite’s 180-damage reports, you are ranking a base starter, and that belongs on the PvP hub, not on an ult poster.

Exclusive Goku and 2017 X stay off this list. Developer kits stay off this list.

How to spend a bar in public

Dump on a confirm, not on a feeling. Super’s overdrive ends the form if it lands. Starved’s Hunger needs a body in range. Neo Metal wants a copied tool already in pocket. Shadow should not panic-pop Inhibitor Release to escape a situation the charged Chaos Blast might have answered. Eggman should not pop Death Egg as a substitute for a Big Arms that is not in the build.

If both players awaken, the round becomes a map question. Green Hill Zone favors dash ults. Marble Zone punishes long cinematics near ledges. Starved Lair is Starved’s bar made into a stage. HILL hides red and gold effects. A letter that cannot name a map is half a letter.

Snapshot, ult-only, September 2026

Community opinions, not official, patches change this:

  • High: Knight of the Wind (both forms), Starved Insatiable Hunger, Neo Metal (ceiling), GOD.
  • Mid: Super Sonic, Dark Sonic (split vs Knight), Hyper Knuckles, Fire Princess, Twisted Reflection, Lord X ult.
  • Soft or unfinished: Inhibitor Release (weaker after rework), Psychic Break, Death Egg Robot (Big Arms tease), 500 IQ / Rose / G.U.N. as completed but not round-stealing.
  • N/A: Mecha Sonic, Infinite.

When a patch adds Infinite’s ult or Big Arms, this page changes more than the beginner list. Until then, do not pretend those bars exist.

Hold the bar until a starter is already true, then spend it on the form that actually belongs to that portrait. Knight of the Wind gets both forms. Shadow gets a weaker ult note until a patch says otherwise. Eggman, Mecha, and Infinite get an incomplete or missing stamp. That three-line discipline is the whole awakening list — and it is why you should throw these letters out the moment a named update ships a new transform.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do Mecha Sonic and Infinite have ults?

No. Both are N/A. Mecha Sonic is Early Access. Infinite’s base kit arrived in the Knight of the Wind era. Early Access bar presses heal and buff existing moves instead of transforming.

Is Shadow’s awakening still worth the bar?

Community notes after the rework call Inhibitor Release weaker while base Shadow stays well-liked. Lab the hold-charge Chaos Blast first. Do not pop the ult as a substitute for that button.

How do you rank Knight of the Wind if it is a full character?

In both forms. KOTW is not Super Sonic. Base already has 180-damage combo reports, and the awakening forms are part of the same S-tier argument on the September 2026 snapshot.

Is Eggman’s Death Egg a complete ult?

It is in the game and still treated as incomplete. Big Arms has been teased as later work. This page will not rank Death Egg as a finished Super equivalent until that work ships.

Should I save my bar or dump it?

Dump on a confirm. Super’s overdrive can end the form. Starved’s Hunger needs a grab. Missing a cinematic in endlag is how A-tier ults lose to a C-tier hammer.
